Chima Ernest Okoli the founder of Buddy Greenspark Initiative was present at WIPO Nigeria’s World IP Day 2026 celebration. It was a vibrant, high-energy seminar held at the UN House in Abuja. Themed “IP and Sports: Ready, Set, Innovate,” the event transformed the conversation from simple recreation to a robust economic engine.

It was great being in the presence of sports royalty and having sports front and center in our developmental discursions. Amongst the speakers were Shehu Dikko (Chairman, National Sports Commission), Daren Tang (WIPO DG), Oluwatobi Moody (WIPO Nigeria head), Daniel “Da Bull” Amokachi (Nigerian football legend and UN football for the goals champion) and Hon. Mohammed Bello El Rufai (House of Reps ) alongside heads of a plethora of agencies.

Buddy Greenspark Initiative was present even with something worth marveling at even as we displayed our Clima football boots made from Pure Water Sachets. We gave repurposed over 150 thousand sachets of pure water into leather works. We have shown that sports can be improved even with the little community driven solutions.
